Somatic Therapy - Single Session
Service Description
I am a Trauma-Trained Somatic Practitioner, which means that I practice an approach to healing and growing that focuses on the experience of the body and emotions. This method allows us to pay attention to our own experience of life in a new way, finding a safe place inside from which to learn about ourselves and how we want to relate to the world around us. We can allow parts of ourselves to express in ways that empower us, strengthen us, and bring us back to our sense of home within our own body. I see our work together almost like 'personal training for the nervous system'. Your nervous system is an amazing system designed to allow you to confront threats, escape dangerous situations, connect to loved ones, and resolve conflicts. However, through various life events, some of those abilities can become more difficult to access. As we work together, we will gradually restrengthen those abilities, once again allowing you to adeptly handle life situations with flexibility and grace.
